Applications & Parallel Expansion
Where It Works• North-American-style two-phase homes — 120V split loads & 240V heavy appliances | Scale with ParallelSDPO-U-7.2kw-P and SDPO-IP models support 1–6 units in parallel (single-phase or split-phase configurations) with CAN-linked current sharing, battery-voltage/AC-voltage difference protection, and synchronization-fault detection — take a single 7.2kW system up to 72kW split-phase as loads grow, without changing batteries. |
Buyer FAQ
What is a split-phase inverter, and why does it matter for my market?
A split-phase inverter provides both 120Vac (L1/N, L2/N) and 240Vac (L1/L2) outputs — the standard residential service in North America and several other two-phase grid regions. It powers 120V circuits (lights, outlets) and 240V appliances (HVAC, water heaters, well pumps) from one unit, unlike single-phase inverters which cannot feed a 240V split load center directly.
Which battery should I pair with this inverter?
It is designed for a 51.2V (16S LiFePO4) platform — battery voltage range 40.0–58.6Vdc, minimum start-up 44V. Pair with our GWR / GVR residential batteries for plug-and-play BMS communication, or any compatible lithium/lead-acid bank. Lithium BMS charging strategy is self-adaptive.
Can I parallel multiple units for a larger home or small business?
Yes — the -P (parallel) models connect up to 6 units. E.g., three SDPO-IP-12kw units deliver up to 36kW split-phase with CAN current sharing and full parallel protection. Tell us your load table and we will confirm the parallel configuration and wiring in the proposal.
What models are available in the split-phase series?
The series includes SDPO-U 7.2kW Split, SDPO-IP 10kW Split and SDPO-IP 12kW Split — single/split-phase hybrid inverters with 120/240Vac output and 51.2V battery compatibility.
How much solar PV can I connect?
Each model has dual MPPT trackers (500Vdc max, 90–450V MPPT range); max PV input is 4500W + 4500W on the 7.2kW and 6000W + 6000W on the 10kW/12kW models.
What certifications and grid standards does the inverter meet?
It carries UL 1741 (and CSA C22.2 #107.1 on the 10kW/12kW), FCC Part 15 Class B and IEEE 1547 grid compliance, plus CE / RoHS.
